MEMBERSHIP 2009
The Lake Forest-Lake Bluff Artisan Guild seeks to respect the traditions of the creative arts, encouraging people to stop working in isolation by inviting them to join a community of artisans, to share their interests and explore the development of their craft.
The Guild is now accepting members at every level of experience and in all areas of interest, including, but not limited to: glass design, fiber arts (from textile to knitting), jewelry design/beadwork, ceramics and potting, metal work, decorative painting, woodworking, graphic and ornamental design, food arts, portraiture and sculpted forms.
Benefits of membership include:
- Special Member or Associate Member show and event fees.
- Meetings, programs and outings of general interest to all artisans
- Eligibility to participate in an all-member Spring Fair show and sale
- Opportunity to participate in the Fall Fair on Labor Day Weekend
- Opportunity to participate in the Winter Fair in December
- Opportunities to show and sell your work at other venues
- Opportunities to contribute your work or a portion of your sales to benefit charitable causes
- An open invitation to display your work at general meetings
How to become a member:
There are two levels of membership. All applicants must submit at least three digital photos of their work and be sponsored by a current member. If you do not know a Guild member, sponsorship will be arranged by the Board.
GENERAL MEMBERSHIP
Lake Forest-Lake Bluff residents are eligible to join as full voting members at a fee of $35 per year.
ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP "New"
Non-residents may join as Associate Members at a fee of $40 per. Associate Members are not eligible to vote and cannot hold executive office. Show fees are reduced from the non-member rate.
The membership year begins in January. Members joining after Oct.1, 2008 will be considered members for the entire following calendar year (2009).
